Our raw food is designed to be different! It's the only raw dog food in Australia that you can safely cook. How? We don't include bones (don't worry, it still has all the calcium your pup needs). We include Australian diced meat, vegetables and superfoods. Refreshingly simple.

Why Diced meat, not minced?
Quite frankly, our founder Emma has an aversion to mysterious mushy pet food. It's less about mince meat being bad, and more to do with the fact that unfortunately, pet companies that choose to mince their food are 9 times out of 10 not being transparent about what's in there. Packed full of carbs, unbalanced, too much offal and other ingredients to keep costs down. And then you also have some that choose sub-par meat. By dicing our food, we're staying true to our promise of a pet pawrent being able to look into their pet's bowl and seeing exactly what's in their food.

How much do I feed?
As a general rule of thumb, a healthy weight adult dog will consume between 1-3% of their bodyweight per day. The exception to this rule are puppies, they need to be fed up to 9% of bodyweight per day in three meals until 12 weeks old, then gradually reduce the amount fed to 3% at 12 months old.
Please remember that daily food includes any treats, bones and other food, so please bear this in mind when feeding.
FurFresh serving size is calculated for healthy weight adults at 1% of body weight per day (lower number in the table below) designed to be the main meal of the day and supplemented with a raw bone or other healthy treat. If not supplementing any other meals and you’re feeding only FurFresh for all meals per day, calculate at 2% of bodyweight (higher number in the table below). Suitable for all life stages including puppies (except for giant breed puppies - Great Danes, Bullmastiff etc).
Pregnant and lactating dogs should be fed at 4% of bodyweight per day.

A note on our vitamin mix: Whilst our food would be more than nutritionally adequate, and we validate the theory of balanced over time feeding, to meet all of the nutritional requirements of commercially made pet food and to ensure that we're still meeting the on-paper standards of AAFCO when fed raw, or cooked, we need to add an amino and essential vitamin blend. We use chelated trace mineral supplements, which is a far more expensive option, but is by far the best choice. Our vitamin and amino blend is over 99% natural. Some key vitamins like D and K aren't viable in their natural form, so to ensure that those vitamins are present at a level that is required and needed, we need to add a synthetic version. Because the blend and the two vitamins represent such a small component of our overall mix, we are proud to say our daily food is 99.98% natural.

As part of minimising our paw print on this earth, we have partnered with Planet Protector Packaging to use their WoolCool - 100% home compostible thermal insulation made from Australian wool! We line a thick cardboard box with the WoolCool liners, and use a chilled delivery service to deliver straight to your door step. Your food will stay nice and cold for hours, even in the QLD sun!

Check your dog’s weight, age and feeding amount from our feeding guide, choose from three nutritiously delicious proteins and select a FurFresh raw dog food meal box that works for your furmily.
2. Receive Your Box
We’ll deliver your meal box via refrigerated courier with our very cool sustainable Australian wool liner to keep it cold. No polyboxes here! Once it arrives, pop the meals in the freezer.
3. Feed Raw or Cook!
Once defrosted, your dog’s meals are ready to eat straight from the fridge! If feeding our raw you can choose to feed as is, or you can safely cook the mix by quickly pan frying for a warm dinner – they’ll never know you didn’t make yourself! On May 1st 2024 we made the decision to switch to
a solely subscription model for our boxes. This is in part to assist our business in our stock supply and to better serve our customers. A benefit from this change has meant that we’ve been able to increase our subscription
discount from 5% to 15% off our boxes.
Our subscription model is ultimately very flexible. We do
offer the ability to deliver once every 6 months, or what you’re able to do if you’re unsure of the frequency that you need is the following:
1. Select your regular box, and subscribe
2. Immediately after the order has been processed, go to the person icon in the top right of our website which is 'My Account'
3. Once in your account choose the green button ‘Manage Subscription’
4. Click the black ‘Manage’ button again and then at the bottom of the subscription summary page, scroll down to ‘Pause Subscription’. By doing this, you will not be charged or sent any more boxes until you manually reactivate your subscription
5. When you’re ready to order your next box, follow steps 1-4 (up until the manage part) and then choose ‘Reactivate’ and the date that you’d like to order.
We understand that this is a different process to what
you’re used to but we hope that our new pricing goes some way to make up for the additional steps to order.

FurFresh Beef + Barley Grass, Kangaroo + Sea Kelp, Chicken + Chia Dog Food is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for Growth and Reproduction. Suitable for all life stages, including puppies (excluding giant breed puppies - Great Danes, Bullmastiff etc).
With the exception of giant breeds (i.e. Great Danes) who need more calcium and phosphorus for their rapidly growing bones, we are suitable for all other puppies.
Puppies needs to be fed 9% of their body weight across 3 meals a day up until their 12 weeks old. Then 7% at 6 months, 5% at 9 months and around 3% at 12 months. After that point, they can move to the adult feeding guide of around 2% of body weight per day.
Great question! 99.99% of commercial raw food shouldn’t be cooked, primarily because of the bone content included in the food.
We don’t include bones in our raw food, so the mix can safely be cooked. You can quickly pan fry it before serving, or some people simply warm in the microwave.
That’s a great question and one we thought long and hard about. The truth is that offal is a tricky subject. We fully endorse our dog’s need for offal as a rich source of iron, magnesium and other goodies, but there is quite a bit of debate around the quantity and frequency of offal feeding. The reality is that each dog has different needs, some can tolerate every day, some breeds only a couple of times a week, and breeds like Dalmatians often don’t cope very well at all with offal. So, we’ve chosen to allow you, the pet parent to choose how often and what type of offal you feed. Most add 5-10% (and never more than 15%) 2-3 times per week. Some great secreting offal choices are:

Pancreas
Remember, whatever you choose, make sure it’s human grade and ethically sourced.
While the facility that makes our food processes other meat too, we've species tested our meals to make sure they are in fact only one-meat protein and have passed with flying colours!
