Origin

The miniature poodle originates from the standard Poodle — a water retrieving dog that is very much a worker. The Miniature Poodle was made as a smaller type of the original Poodle for owners who are more comfortable with smaller dogs but were captivated by their personalities and enthusiasm for all kinds of work. The greatest influencers for a smaller Poodle were circuses - who were using this very intelligent, easy to train, friendly and even entertaining dog in their shows with great accomplishment but found the Standard Poodles just a little bit too big.

Personality

Miniature poodles are a bundle of joy. They are highly intelligent, and can easily adapt to their environment which makes them exceptionally trainable. They are sociable, sweet and active dogs who are both intelligent and entertaining, making them an incredibly awesome and fun companion!
